Uchida tubal sterilization

Am J Obstet Gynecol. 1975 Jan 15;121(2):153-8. doi: 10.1016/0002-9378(75)90630-4.

Abstract

The methods which seek to close the tubes by tissue necrosis may be responsible for subsequent pathologic disorders. These sequelae often explain postoperative repeat uterine pregnancy, ectopic gestation, and other serious complications. In addition to Uchida sterilization, the Uchida fimbriectomy is recommended for use in the immediate postpartum period and at cesarean section because of its many advantages.
