Regulation of CAM practitioners: reflecting on the last 10 years

Abstract

This article traces the regulatory developments in CAM in the U.K. over the last ten years. CAM's regulatory position is analysed in the broader context of regulation across health and social care, including notable regulatory failures and the Government's plans for modernisation of healthcare regulation. Future regulatory developments are discussed, including the creation of a new CAM Council and its possible remit'.
