Abstract

Estrogens are effective in dependence on the dosage and mode of application. After oral application estrogens always run through the first pass effect. Estradiol is going to estrone therefore and on grounds of conversion. The estradiol levels are higher in the blood after transdermal, vaginal and rectal application since the first passage effect is inapplicable. An individual adapted hormone medication is always possible from women by the different modus of applications.
