Multiple cranial nerve palsies as a presenting symptom in primary Sjögren's syndrome

J Med Assoc Thai. 1989 May;72(5):291-4.

Abstract

A 28-year-old woman who presented with multiple cranial nerve palsies was eventually proven, pathologically, to be a case of primary Sjögren's syndrome. The presence of this syndrome was not initially suspected until the onset of its neurological manifestation. The paucity of sicca syndrome can cause a delay and/or over looking in such a diagnosis. Therapeutic response to corticosteroids was rather impressive in this particular case.
