Abstract

Criteria of fitness of monogenic hypothesis based on the accuracy of prediction of individuals' phenotypes are proposed. These criteria made it possible to differentiate the pedigrees in heterogeneous samples. The accuracy of genetic counseling is discussed. The method is illustrated on the example of the familial hypercholesterinemia in man.
