Abstract

It is time for the American Cancer Society and the nation to reevaluate the direction and impact of cancer prevention and control research. This article presents a new framework that integrates cancer control activities (fundamental research, intervention research, program delivery, and surveillance and monitoring) with knowledge synthesis and decision-making.
