Abstract

On the basis of two observations, the clinical symptoms for acquired knee extension contracture in childhood was presented. A progressive fibrosis of the vastus intermedius of the musculus quadriceps femoris develops as a result of multiple injections into the ventral thigh musculature. This method of application should, therefore, be avoided and an intragluteal or intravenous method used.
