An overview of the metabolism of copper

Abstract

Studies from animal models and in human volunteers have permitted to construct a provisional continuum of acceptable intakes of copper that would avoid copper deficiency and/or toxicity: acceptable intakes may vary between 10 and 50 mg/kg body weight.
