Vulvar disorders in adolescents

Obstet Gynecol Clin North Am. 2000 Mar;27(1):35-48. doi: 10.1016/s0889-8545(00)80005-4.

Abstract

Vulvar disorders are rare in the adolescent. When they occur, they may be challenging and difficult to diagnose and treat. Biopsies and consultation with a dermatologist in unclear cases should occur early in the evaluation to allow for rapid diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
