Abstract

Objective: To report a case of cystitis glandularis, a proliferative disorder of the bladder mucosa whose incidence is estimated to be approximately 1%.

Methods/results: A case of diffuse cystitis glandularis in a male patient is presented. Intravesical steroid therapy achieved symptomatic resolution, although the proliferative mucosal lesions persist.

Conclusion: There is currently no non ablative treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective in diffuse cystitis glandularis.
