How Do HIV Infected Women Manage the Stigma of HIV Infection?

Fac Notes (New Orleans La). Jan-Feb 1998;10(1):1-3 concl.

Abstract

AIDS: The 1998 Appropriations Bill includes increased funding for most HIV/AIDS programs. The bill also includes a restriction on needle exchange programs and establishes mandatory program guidelines. The Secretary of Health and Human Services has authority to lift the needle exchange restriction after March 31, 1998; however, it is doubtful that the ban will be lifted. A chart summarizes the funding for most AIDS programs and compares them to their fiscal 1997 funding levels.
