Anatomy and physiology of the female pelvis: MR imaging revisited

J Magn Reson Imaging. 2001 Jun;13(6):842-9. doi: 10.1002/jmri.1120.

Abstract

This article reviews the normal anatomy of the female pelvis and focuses on uterine physiology, presenting the kinematics of the uterus that can be identified on ultra-fast MR imaging. It also discusses the many facets of the junctional zone on MR imaging. Ultra-fast MR imaging seems to be a powerful tool for evaluating normal anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the uterus. J.
