Abstract

The integument is a common site of disease in the rabbit. Parasites, bacterial infections, and viral infections predominate; however, trauma, behavioral, and neoplastic diseases are common as well. Wild rabbits act as the reservoir of many parasitic and viral diseases of domestic rabbits.
