Thermography of human arterial system by means of new thermography catheters

Catheter Cardiovasc Interv. 2001 Sep;54(1):51-8. doi: 10.1002/ccd.1237.

Abstract

In this case report, we present the first clinical application of three thermography catheters for temperature measurements in the coronary arteries, the aorta, and the femoral arteries. The entire procedure was performed successfully without complications. Larger clinical studies are required in order to examine the feasibility for the application of the aortic and the peripheral artery thermography catheters and the clinical significance of temperature measurements in these arteries.
