PIP: Data are presented on induced abortions in the Federal Republic of Germany in 1984, together with some comparative statistics for earlier years. Information is included on number and rate of abortions, reasons for abortion, abortion seekers by marital status and number of children, length of gestation, type of procedure used, complications, length of hospital stay, and German women obtaining abortions in other countries.
