Type 2 diabetes--a challenge for the occupational health nurse

AAOHN J. 2003 Feb;51(2):55-7.

Abstract

Type 2 DM is occurring at earlier ages in epidemic proportions, thereby increasing the number of individuals with Type 2 DM in the workplace. Health care providers, especially occupational health nurses, have an opportunity to effect change in the trajectory of complications associated with DM by promoting optimal DM management in the workplace.
