Role of adrenergic mechanisms in regulation of phagocytic cell functions in acute stress response

Immunol Lett. 2003 May 1;86(3):229-33. doi: 10.1016/s0165-2478(03)00027-0.

Abstract

The effects of acute immobilization stress and its combination with beta-adrenergic receptor blockade on some functions of phagocytic cells have been analyzed. beta-Adrenergic mechanisms were shown to be involved in regulation of phagocytic cell functions in acute stress response.
