Di-iron-tyrosyl radical ribonucleotide reductases

Curr Opin Chem Biol. 2003 Apr;7(2):183-8. doi: 10.1016/s1367-5931(03)00025-5.

Abstract

New insights have been gained into the formation of the di-iron tyrosyl radical cofactor, which is essential for nucleotide reduction in the class I ribonucleotide reductases. Recent advances include Insight into the function of the tyrosyl radical in initiation of nucleotide reduction.
