Antiglobulin sera: comparison between serological tests and immunoelectrophoresis

J Clin Pathol. 1963 Jan;16(1):25-31. doi: 10.1136/jcp.16.1.25.

Abstract

Reactions of selected antiglobulin sera with sensitized cells are related to their precipitation patterns with normal serum on immunoelectrophoresis. The components which react with adsorbed complement are anti-beta(1) and further evidence of this is obtained by the effect of the addition of human serum components on the antiglobulin reactions with ;complement-coated' cells. The findings are discussed in the light of recent work by various authors.
