Breast cancer

Nurs Clin North Am. 1992 Dec;27(4):821-33.

Abstract

Breast cancer will continue to be a major health problem for women as long as there is a lack of prevention strategies and underuse of early detection programs. The role of the nurse in health promotion must focus on educating women about the ambiguity surrounding risk factors and the importance of participating in early detection practices.
