Abstract

The methodology of the bone mineral measurement from childhood through adolescence contains a few problems. Continuously growing child shows continuous enlargement of the bone and the difference in bone size exerts ineligible effects on the DXA value. Therefore, we should be careful to evaluate the value from the point of this view. This manuscript overviewed normal bone growth and problems in bone mineral assessment during childhood and adolescence.
