Bicycle injuries and helmet use in children

Health Visit. 1992 Mar;65(3):86-7.

Abstract

Should cyclists be legally required to wear helmets? P Umesh Prabhu reviews the evidence and concludes they should. The incidence of helmet use is extremely low but especially so among young people and children. Health visitors and school nurses could play an important role in any campaign to increase helmet use.
