Developing a communications course for health care assistants

Abstract

Developing an effective communication course is a fundamental part of lifelong learning for health care assistants. The communication course developed at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has enhanced the skills of health care assistants within the practice area and thereby improved the quality of care given to users of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the wider health and social care community in Sheffield.
