Immunity: it's in our bones

Immunity. 2005 Feb;22(2):143-4. doi: 10.1016/j.immuni.2005.02.002.

Abstract

Accumulating data suggest that the bone marrow is a reservoir for memory CD8+ T cells. In this issue of Immunity, show that bone marrow CD8+ T cells are predominantly CCR7+/CD62L+ "central memory" cells and describe specific signals that mediate their constitutive recruitment from the blood.
