Abstract

Rare but too often unrecognised, tardive mania offers a classic but moderate syndrome, rather mixed with delirious or deteriorated ideation, with chronicity. Prognosis is often serious. Either as a negation of the self's dispossession (psychoanalysis), or temporal and vital disconnection (phenomenology), tardive mania might be well conceived as the ultimate chance of a mystic enthusiasm (mythology).
