Are snow-white teeth really so desirable?

J Am Dent Assoc. 2005 Jul;136(7):933-5. doi: 10.14219/jada.archive.2005.0295.

Abstract

Properly accomplished, bleaching or whitening teeth is a highly positive behavior-changing procedure that is not going to go away. It has been one of the major encouragements for patients to accept upgrades in their smiles. However, bleaching has some negative challenges. Dental practitioners who are aware of these can help ensure that the patient's bleaching experience is a satisfying one.
