Laparoscopic excision of para-aortic ectopic pheochromocytoma

Abstract

Ectopic pheochromocytomas (paragangliomas) are rare tumors that are traditionally treated with open surgery. We present our technique of such a tumor treated laparoscopically and review the safety, feasibility and advantages of this approach.
