For a long time, blood and urine analysis were the only methods for determination of the concentration of glucose in blood. However, these methods do not provide all necessary information about the state of the disease. Besides, use of these methods can be inconvenient. Thus, the problem of noninvasive diagnosis of diabetes mellitus becomes especially important. In this work, currently available methods for blood glucose measurement are reviewed.
