Multiple Involvements of Cardiac Sarcoidosis in Both Left and Right Ventricles and Papillary Muscles Detected by Delayed-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Int J Cardiol. 2008 Nov 12;130(2):288-90. doi: 10.1016/j.ijcard.2007.06.078. Epub 2007 Aug 8.

Abstract

Cardiac sarcoidosis may cause various cardiac symptoms including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, conduction disturbances and sudden death, depending upon the extent and sites of cardiac involvement. We describe a patient presenting with ventricular tachycardia and congestive heart failure. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed multiple delayed-enhanced areas in the left and right ventricles and papillary muscles.
