Abstract

Disclosure and discussion of adverse events in health care is desired by patients and championed by safety experts and policy makers. Improving the disclosure process through policies, programmatic training, and accessible resources will enhance patient satisfaction, strengthen the physician-patient relationship, and most importantly, promote a higher quality of health care.
