Improving access to health information in rural South Carolina

Abstract

Funded by the National Library of Medicine, a committee of local leaders and medical library staff improved access to health information in a poor, rural county of South Carolina with a large minority population. A needs assessment, Internet training, and community events involving high school students were key program components.
