Abstract
Nurses will encounter increasingly more media-influenced patients seeking help. In response, they must develop and promote mass media literacy. The author examines the public's dilemma with health information and suggests a way to build consumer literacy skill. Staff development educators will find the article's content useful for designing their own classes.
