Imaging of lymphoma of the central nervous system, spine, and orbit

Radiol Clin North Am. 2008 Mar;46(2):339-61, ix. doi: 10.1016/j.rcl.2008.04.003.

Abstract

Lymphomas of the central nervous system, spine, and orbit consist of both systemic lymphomas and primary central nervous system lymphomas. This article addresses the typical imaging findings of lymphoma in both immunocompetent and immunocompromised patients, discusses the differential possibilities, and reviews the response criteria being used in clinical trials. Also described are metabolic imaging techniques with nuclear medicine and advanced MR imaging and how they can help improve the understanding of tumor biology.
