[Ocular, anatomical and functional changes in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment]

Abstract

A rhegmatogenous retinal detachment is defined by accumulation of subretinal fluid between neurosensory retina and retinal pigment epithelium, through a retinal break. In an ocular globe affected by rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, a series of anatomical and functional changes appear.
