On 11 April 2008, the Federal Court allowed the application of Castillo Ramirez and Viccon Palacios for judicial review of a decision by the Refugee Protection Division (RPD) of the Immigration and Refugee Board, which found that the applicants were neither Convention refugees nor persons in need of protection.
