Changes in the management of tuberculosis

Indian J Pediatr. 2009 Jul;76(7):739-42. doi: 10.1007/s12098-009-0164-4.

Abstract

There has been significant change in management of tuberculosis ever since pre-chemotherapeutic era to the present day RNTCP protocol based on specific disease categories. This has been based on knowledge of rational use of anti-TB drugs. DOTS has added new dimensions to TB control program. Public-private partnership will foster the way ahead for better outcome, only if every physician follows management protocol.
