Acta Cardiol. 2013 Aug;68(4):413-5. doi: 10.1080/ac.68.4.2988895.

Abstract

The advent of new oral anticoagulants (NOACs) is transforming the care of patients in need of anticoagulant therapy. NOACs offer the opportunity to provide patients with more effective, safer and more convenient anticoagulant therapy but there are still pitfalls and hurdles.
