Articulating tactical traction splint use on pulseless forearm fracture

J Spec Oper Med. 2014 Spring;14(1):6-8. doi: 10.55460/XHVQ-3444.

Abstract

An articulating tactical traction splint (REEL™ Tactical Traction Splint), commonly issued to U.S. military personnel, was used to maintain traction in a pulseless forearm fracture during a confined space rescue, with good peripheral perfusion maintained through transport. This enabled a single rescuer to focus attention and provide care for other critical aspects of a multisystem trauma patient.
