This report deals with the influence of psychological factors upon the adjustment to a prescribed diet. The observations were made on children in whom a change of previous eating habits became necessary for medical reasons. Investigation of the family background permitted insight into the factors influencing the child's personality development in general and his success or failure in adjusting to the new diet in particular.
