Eur J Cancer Prev. 2016 Mar;25(2):137-41. doi: 10.1097/CEJ.0000000000000149.

Abstract

Prostate cancer is the most common neoplasm in men in western countries. The use of strategies for primary prevention and early diagnosis is a usual procedure, but there is considerable controversy on their benefits. Recent data from several remarkable studies have contributed more uncertainty toward this issue. We review the available evidence and suggest some general recommendations for prostate cancer primary prevention and screening.
