Does osteoporosis related to cytostatic drugs exist?

Med Hypotheses. 1989 Aug;29(4):293-4. doi: 10.1016/0306-9877(89)90114-x.

Abstract

Osteoporosis has rarely been related to the use of cytostatic drugs. We report the case of a patient with chronic myeloid leukemia who presented several non-traumatic vertebral fractures, most likely related to the use of Busulfan. This occurrence inclines us to propose further investigation of this rare adverse reaction.
