Grants and funding

PATH is a nongovernmental organization that does not make profit from its innovations. PATH staff (PC, SK) have ongoing funding from external donors to develop technologies in a couple of the innovation areas. These include projects on heat-stable oxytocin funded through USAID via the Saving Lives at Birth collaboration, and Chlorhexidine and Magnesium Sulphate funded through the UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities. Previous funding (now completed) has also been received from the Merck for Mothers Alliance. This work is supported by a grant through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to the University of California San Francisco, who commissioned this work. The funders had no role in study design, data collection and analysis, decision to publish, or preparation of the manuscript.
