Abstract

In a fast paced, stressful and ever-changing NHS, it is essential that staff receive constructive criticism. This is a vital element of ongoing professional development and reflective practice, and benefits patient care and working relationships. Nurses must also learn how to act on constructive criticism, and use it to learn and develop their practice.
