Baroness Caroline Cox, a trained nurse, is to chair a major conference on AIDS organised by the RCN and the BMA, despite criticism reported in a London- based gay publication. Citing Baroness Cox as a supporter of Section 28, the newspaper Capital Gay alleged that RCN members were threatening to boycott the event in Cardiff in April unless she 'withdrew immediately'.
