[Level of serum phosphorus and adult type 2 diabetes mellitus]

Abstract

Objective: To determine effects of the serum levels of phosphorus, calcium and magnesium on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Methods: A total of 244 hospitalized patients were enrolled from 2014 to 2015, and they were assigned into a type 2 diabetic group (n=162) and control group (n=82). The serum levels of phosphorus, calcium and magnesium were determined. The correlations between blood levels of glucose and the serum levels of phosphorus, calcium or magnesium were analyzed.

Results: The serum level of phosphate in type 2 diabetic group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the level of serum calcium and magnesium between the two groups. In the type 2 diabetic group, there was no significant correlation between the level of blood glucose and the serum level of phosphorus, calcium or magnesium. In the control group, the blood glucose and serum levels of phosphorus were positively correlated (r=0.226, P=0.042), but there was no significant correlation between the level of blood glucose and the serum level of calcium or magnesium.

Conclusion: Serum level of phosphorus is obviously decreased in type 2 diabetes patients, indicating that they may have a disorder in phosphorus metabolism.

目的:探讨血磷、血钙、血镁水平对2型糖尿病患者的影响。方法:选择某医院2014年至2015年收治的244例住院患者,分为2型糖尿病组(162例)和对照组(82例),比较两组间血磷、血钙、血镁水平的差异,并分析其血磷、血钙、血镁、血糖水平的相关性。结果:2型糖尿病组血磷水平明显低于对照组(P<0.05),两组间血钙、血镁水平比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。在2型糖尿病组中,血糖与血磷、血钙、血镁水平无显著相关性。在对照组中,血糖和血磷水平呈正相关(r=0.226,P=0.042),血糖与血钙、血镁水平无显著相关性。结论:2型糖尿病患者血磷水平明显低于非糖尿病患者,可能存在磷代谢的紊乱。.
