Orthopedics. 1987 Aug;10(8):1169-73.

Abstract

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma arising in bone infarcts has only been recently recognized as a pathologic entity. Eighteen cases have been reported prior to this one. A case of a malignant fibrous histiocytoma developing in a 58-year-old man with idiopathic medullary bone infarcts in the distal femurs is presented along with a review of the literature.
