Value of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging-Derived Baseline Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction and Volumes for Precise Risk Stratification of Patients With Ischemic Cardiomyopathy: Insights From the Surgical Treatment for Ischemic Heart Failure (STICH) Trial

JAMA Cardiol. 2017 May 1;2(5):577-579. doi: 10.1001/jamacardio.2016.5492.

Abstract

This study tests the hypothesis that cardiovascular magnetic resonance–derived left ventricular ejection fraction and volumes would provide improved risk stratification in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery for ischemic cardiomyopathy.
