Prevention and treatment of bronchospasm using an extempore combination of salbutamol and oxatomide

Int J Clin Pharmacol Res. 1985;5(1):71-4.

Abstract

Forty patients with bronchospasm of various origins were treated with an extempore combination of a bronchodilator, salbutamol, and an antihistamine agent, oxatomide. Good results were obtained in all cases treated with an improvement in respiratory function, prevention of dyspnoea attacks and a reduced intake of anti-asthma drugs. The few side-effects reported (four cases of drowsiness, one of tachycardia, and two of increased appetite), were of only a mild nature.
