Nevus comedonicus (NC), first described by Kofmann in 1895, is a rare condition considered to be a type of epidermal nevus. Nevus comedonicus presents as grouped, dilated follicular openings with dark keratin plugs. Kofmann initially had suggested labeling the condition 'comedo nevus.'
