The transfer of information into cells

Obstet Gynecol Annu. 1985:14:1-24.

Abstract

Our understanding of cellular events involved in the transfer of information between and within cells has increased dramatically in the last decade. The application of this information to clinical medical research is just beginning. The relevance of these processes to the action of hormones and drugs and developmental signals makes it inevitable that increased understanding will lead to rational and innovative therapeutic approaches.
